Do I need a converter for a UK device with voltage of 120-240V when I travel to the US or a plug adapter?
I understand that US voltage is 110 but I've also heard it's 120. I just needed to know if I should get a plug adapter or a voltage converter.
You won't need a converter. The voltage in the US is actually 120 VAC but most people say 110. 110 volts is very close to "brown out" voltage where the power grid can't maintain the voltage due to heavy loading.
