Woman traveling alone in Barcelona. Safety Advice?
Traveling to barcelona alone. Read other websites on pickpocketing/scams, so Im pretty informed on that. Looking for advice on what I can use as a bag to carry around while Im walking. Every website I visit says not to use a money belts. I have a med-small size pouch which I can wear over neck/shoulder. Is that okay or will I have a bullseye on me? Also, what clothing should I wear to blend in with the residence? I read shorts are out but how about capris? or long jeans? I do plan on wearing skirts but I like to have options. Appreciate your help!
I think that Barcelona sounds like any other city, some crime, but it is not too high, so really there is not a lot to worry about. Your purse sounds fine because it goes over you and no one can steal it. As for clothes, I would wear something darker colored like purple or navy or sometimes white, and maybe alternate between skirts and jeans.
