Use baby pillow after baby is two years old
Most research suggests that normally a baby pillow should not be considered until the baby is at least two years old. It should be used after the baby is no longer sleeping in a crib but has progressed to a toddler bed.
Even if your child is slightly older, it is not always necessary for them to use a baby pillow. In case they are sleeping well without a baby pillow, it means then that there is probably no need to introduce one.

In case you are still uncertain as to whether it is the right time to introduce a baby pillow to your child's bed, you may consider speaking to your doctor in order to get his or her input. Else you may just wait till your child actually asks for a baby pillow or begins to show some signs of struggling in order to sleep on a flat bed.
