Is it a felony to steal a passenger's luggage in the airlines?
I lost my luggage with plenty of valuables in it. I suspect that it was stolen by person/persons who knew the items inside it and had deliberately set out to take it from me. I have complained to the airlines, through a long and difficult process. There were other wierd things that happened during my travel like being issued a wrong boarding pass in someone else's name, etc..
The airlines has not responded to my claims yet.
What do you think? Anyone had similar experiences? What did you do? Is there an organization that one could go to that governs and one can lodge a complaint about such an incident?
When I was going to college, someone stole 3 of my bags on the Airlines. My wallet, my passport, my important papers were all in there. I immediately contacted the airlines, and I went through the same difficult time as you. I contacted my local police after that, and a year and 3 months later my bags came back to me, everything completely in there.
My advice to you is,
Contact the airport: The airport loves costumer satisfaction, so they will help you when you complain.
Contact your local police station: They will work with the airport to help you find it, and they may even give you advice.
Most of the time, you do get your baggage back, so stick in there, kiddo.
