Creating Your Own Self Worth And Potential
It is not easy to live with a low self esteem and a low sense of self worth. It can be classified as a form of torture for some people. We tend to isolate ourselves and keep ourselves hidden from the world because we are so fearful of critical comments we don't want to risk the blow. We make our own demons just as we can make our own potential.
We can find all the evidence in the world that we just aren't as good as someone else if we look hard enough. We put a sweater on our dog and hear our friends bash the idea of dog clothing. We cringe at the thought of losing our own way but we don't want anyone to see the tiny little things that that.
When it comes to creating success, you're in charge. Go home and clean up the home office storage and make yourself a place where you know you can rally for your own success. Then set goals that you can achieve, one by one, and continue to increase the goals with every success. When you learn how to celebrate your own victory, success is easier to find.
Don't be afraid to take a few new risks. Answer the ad for the electric guitar for sale if you want to and forget chastising yourself if you never learn to play it. The worst that can happen is it sits in a corner. The best that can happen is that you will become inspired. It's not about making sure you never make the wrong choice, but being Okay with the idea that the wrong choice doesn't have to haunt you.
You can then take this to a higher level when it comes to social interaction and work. Everybody says the wrong thing from time to time. Everybody wears the wrong clothes or feels uncomfortable in their own skin. It happens.
Reacting well to yourself is actually much more important. You have to learn how to forgive yourself for the occasional error or a slip of the tongue. Most mistakes you can fix. Those you can't you can learn from.
When we hide ourselves we never give ourselves the real chance to grow. Instead, we look at what we have around us and we make the same determination as we would have last week, or the week before that. Stagnant living can lead to low self worth. Get out and see someone every now and then. At least start by going for a daily walk.
