PC on an International flight?
Im moving to Korea for a year to teach English and I'd like to take my PC with me. I was thinking about just taking it apart. and carrying the components in hand luggage in little anti static bags. I could leave my cheap ass case at home and buy a cheap ass case in Korea then simply rebuild my PC. Im sure it will be safe but im worried about customs and security checks, it might look too dodgy carrying loads of electrical components.
As Smitty said, seriously, buy a laptop or mail the PC you have if you don't want to carry it on the plane. If you are that concerned, copy the contents of your PC to a portable drive, pack it, buy a laptop in Korea and transfer the contents to a brand spanking new laptop there. Or, if you really have your mind set, just remove your harddrive and put it in a new barebones one in Korea....problem solved. Definitely make a backup of your HD before you do this in case something happens to that drive while you are traveling.
