Get a Passport Cover to Protect Your U.S. Passport
The central purpose of passport covers is the same although they come in many differnt colors and styles. They help protect your passport. Why is this important? A damaged passport cannot be used for international travel. You will be required to apply for a replacement if your travel document becomes damaged. There are two negative aspects to this.

Two, you cannot renew a passport by mail if it has been damaged. You will have to start from the beginning and apply for a new passport. Of course, you can find an Italian leather passport cover that will run you a lot more than that if you are looking for something stylish. You will usually pay less for a passport cover than you will for a travel wallet that has pockets for your passport, currency, credit cards, boarding pass and more.
The cheaper passport covers are generally made from nylon although it is possible to find a fairly good leather cover that is fairly inexpensive. Leather is the most popular material and used to make most passport covers.
