My BF (from SA) has a visa but not a UK passport, Does he need a visa to go to i.e. Spain? I'm confused!?
I'm from the UK so if we was going to go inside of Europe I could just go if outside it would depend but I know to go for example Turkey, North Africa etc is no problem I just fill out a piece of paper when I get their.
My boyfriend is from South Africa, he is in the UK on a tourist visa, so allowed to be here by the UK government but does he still have to apply to go anywhere as he would normally do with a SA passport or while he has that visa is he seen as a UK passport holder so can just go?
He has not left the UK since he was here so he does not really know plus he is anxious about going abroad in-case his passport causes him problems.

Unfortunately your boyfriend cannot go anywhere abroad in Europe. His visa is valid for the United Kingdom only, since the UK is not party to the Schengen agreement. To visit continental Europe he would have had to apply for a Schengen visa from South Africa before starting his travel. Schengen countries do not accept visa applications from foreigners being on a tourist status in the UK. Only holders of UK residence permits or long stay student visa may apply from the UK. Sorry!
