Is there a law against check-out chicks putting there hands in your bag when performing a security bag check ?
I have just come back from shopping @ Woolworths in Liechardt where I was subjected to the most humiliating bag check ever. This stupid cow said that she saw my husband put something in our bag in the baby isle. She put her hands in our bag and started to remove things. My husband told her to stop it and that she was not to touch our bags.
What she had witnessed was my husband making our upset, hungry baby a bottle of formula, all of which was contained in the baby bag.
Of course she didn't find anything, and I must admit, she seemed somewhat disappointed.
It is actually a violation of your privacy. If she suspects that you have placed something in your bag, she must ask you to open your bag, then ask you to empty out contents. But usually they take you to a private place, usually an office. If I was you, I would be returning to that store and asking to see the manager and making a complaint. If you dont get any satisfaction from there seek legal advise.Remember, It will be on camera. She may have made a mistake in her observation, however she stepped over the line and abused your rights.
