to any d.i.y. people. can i install a ceramic hob and power it by a normal power socket ?
or do i have to use a proper cooker cable i think they are 10mm ..... i just want to buy one and plug it into the mains with no hassle.
A ceramic hob will have a load of 8-10 kw. (33- 42 amps) and will not work from a socket. It needs to be wired to a 32amp exclusive cooker circuit with 6²mm cable, and an DP. isolator.
