lufthansa transfer at frankfurt airport?
i am an american holding a american passport flying Lufthansa from Chicago O Hare airport to Berlin though Frankfurt in march do i go though customs with my bags in Frankfurt 1st then recheck my bags in with Lufthansa in the transfer area and get a new tag for it to go to Berlin after i clear customs or will it be tagged to Berlin but just have to get my luggage in Frankfurt and go though customs and after i clear customs in Frankfurt then go to a Lufthansa check in in the transfer area and give them the already tagged bag if thats is the case tagged to Berlin for them to put it on the plane to Berlin with Lufthansa
You only need to go through Customs at your final destination (in Europe)
Your luggage will be checked through all the way to Berlin.
You will get both boarding passes when you check in at O'Hare.
In Frankfurt you will only need to go through Immigration and the security check again and then go to your departure gate.
