Italy Grounded Travel

Italy Grounded Travel
I'm bringing my cell phone to Italy this summer, but what kind of adapter do I need?

I don't need a converter b/c it accepts 110-240VAC and 50-60Hz, so I'm good there. However, do I need a grounded (3-prong) adapter or just a regular 2-prong adapter like you would use in the rest of Europe (for the most part)?

2-prong (mine): http://www.amazon.com/Travel-Accessories-Samsonite-Europe-Non-Grounded/dp/B000KFVJCS/ref=pd_sbs_a_4

3-prong (grounded): http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?CAWELAID=209615547&productId=3196497&tab=summary

btw, my cell phone charger is NOT grounded. it only has two normal prongs, not the fat round one at the bottom like computers have.

thanks!
popcorn: my phone is unlocked, so i'm going to be buying european sim cards and not paying ridiculous amounts for international roaming. thanks, though.

andrea: grazie mille per la spiegazione!

You need a plug regular size two prong, better without ground (you don't need ground for phone charger) but grounded it's ok too (almost every socket have ground and accept both 2 and 3 prong)
Pay attention there are 2 size of socket/plug: a big one (heavy duty (16A) and a regular one (10A).
For the phone you need a regular one, big one is used for household appliance.
You can find frequently dual size socket that accept both size plug (10A and 16A).
A third type of socket are used in Italy: it's the "german/europeean" type (called "Schuko") heavy duty for washing machines etc

Take a look:

p.s. remember to switch your charger from 110 to 220V :) and switch again to 110 when you back home, or you'll burn it!
