How To Set A Table For A Sinner Party
Dinner parties are a very popular these days and are great ways to meet new people and show off your home and your cooking. Knowing where to begin is often the thing that most unexperienced hosts struggle with. Here is what you need to know about setting up a table for your guests
Glasses. There should be three glasses in each place setting to start with ideally. Wine glasses are must, but it doesn’t need to be crystal glass. Guests should also have a tall glass for an alternative beverage and a tumbler for if they would like water also.
Decanters. Instead of having juice, water or other drinks in their containers, why not serve them in decanters. These can be re-filled with ease and will fit in with the look of the table a great deal better than various branded bottles
Napkins and cloths. Table cloths are a must both for aesthetic and practical reasons, but they must be free of offensive colours. You need to give each of your guests a napkin and its worth having extra available just in case anyone needs a clean one
Cutlery. Depending on what is being eaten your should have the suitable cutlery, although as a minimum you should have 2 forks, 2 knives and a spoon. The cutlery should be arranged so that people use them by starting from the outside and working inwards for each course
Dressing. There are a whole host of additional dressings that can be added to a dinner table but the key is not to over clutter. Candle holders look great in moderation, as do glass vases filled with fresh flowers. If your table is of a large enough size you could even get away with having feature centre piece
