Yoga Exercises: Good For Babies Also!
Babies are so adorable when you see them move their arms and shake about trying to discover how their bodies can move. All babies have less control of how they move about. But in time, they will discover how to roll-over, how to move from side-to-side, how to hold their heads-up. Then now will know how to use their bodies movements to lie on their stomach. They have a steady increase of using their hands and arms to roll over and over again. They use their hands and fingers to grasp any item they get hold of. Your baby's firsts, isn't this a precious sight to behold.
For some babies, motor skills are longer to develop. Motor development takes longer for even babies with down syndrome. Nevertheless, you have to do exercise with your babies to properly improve their motor skills. Yoga routines are perfect for your baby's motor skills growth. Here are some poses which might be useful for your baby:
Cradling Seat Hold – This position strengthens the spine from the neck down to the sacrum. It synchronizes back muscles. You have to use your strong hand to hold the baby’s bottom to let her sit down. You can sit, stand or kneel. Using your other hand support your baby's head. Make sure that the neck is also supported. Lift your baby slowly then balance her in your hand. Practice this to get your baby balanced on your hand and upright as possible. Hold the position then hold your baby close.
Rolling Baby – You have to slide your baby’s chest on hand and hold her arm firmly between thumb and forefinger. Then place your other hand between her legs to support her abdomen. Move her face down and make sure you keep her head aligned with her spine. Also give her head additional support by resting it on your forearm. This is the greatest part: roll her up towards you, to face you and give her a kiss. Facing down, roll her out again. Begin with moderate rolls and eventually do bigger motions. Certainly your baby will like this.
