Iphone 4 - How to Protect It?
How do i protect my new iphone 4 :-
a sim code lock thing it was on my sony ericsson stops other sims being used in my phone you have to put a code in when you turn the phone on
also is there a password protect feature for iphone i could use for when i'm out and about dont want any unauthorised access to my phone
there doesn't seam to be a profile for settings for office, home, door etc is there an app that i could use for this? would have liked a feature where i can automaticaly set my phone to be on silent when i'm at work and normal when i finish work without me doing anything
which type of case and which case would you recommend looking for the invisible front/back sheild thing and a proper case ws thinking of leather case as i have my phone in my hand bag.
To lock your phone from unauthorized users, go to settings, general, and passcode lock. You can set it there and how often you want you phone to ask you for the code. If you get the code wrong the first 3 times (I think its 3 times) on the 4th try your phone will be automatically erased for your safety so its always good to sync your phone to itunes every once in a while so that if you lose any information, you can easily get it back by syncing it back to itunes.
There is an airplane mode you can switch on and off in your settings but you won't be able to make calls and I doubt you can send any messages. For all your other scenarios the best thing is to use your toggle switch to put it on silent and to take it off silent. You can have it vibrate or not on your silent mode and you can change that setting by going to settings, sounds.
Considering the metal part of the phone is the antenna and it is exposed I say you get a case that is shock absorbent or a case with rubber on the inside because if you damage the metal area, it could possibly mess up your reception pretty bad (in my opinion and I doubt apple will swap out your phone if your reception isn't working because the phone was damaged.. There's a website that has some cases. Other than that the best thing to do to look for one is just google search iphone 4 cases and look for the ones you like and read up on the details of it. Oh and of course just DONT DROP YOUR PHONE!
